Dear All, Apologies for the mass e-mail but you are all people who either know the Reynolds family or who I thought would like to support them in prayer at this time (and whose e-mails I happen to have) Steve, Emma, William and Edward Reynolds are members of our church family. William Reynolds is 6 years old. He had Leukaemia in the summer and was told that he was in remission 2 weeks before Christmas. Yesterday the family found out that the Leukaemia has come back twice as bad as before and were pinning their hopes on a bone marrow transplant. Today the doctors have sat down with Steve and Emma and told them to prepare for the worst. William is currently having a 5 day course of chemo and unless his white cell count (which indicates the Leukaemia) is down to 0 (it is currently 340 and was 400 yesterday) by the end of treatment on Thursday then a bone marrow transplant is not an option as it would not work and he would not survive it. Steve and Emma would like as many people as possible to pray that William's white blood cell count is 0 by the end of treatment on Thursday For wisdom as they think about what to tell William. The doctors have told them that they should prepare him for the worst but how do you tell a child who was sitting in bed playing the X Box today that he might very likely die? For strength Emma has requested that people do not just turn up to visit in the next few days and to check with her first. They have quite a few people 'booked in' but also need some space. If in doubt you could also contact myself of Dee Russell It seems like a very bleak and dark situation but we do have a God who lights up the darkness Please pray and I will keep you posted Thank you love Sammy x ps - Steve and Emma want as many people to pray as possible so please pass this on to people as you feel appropriate
Dear Friends,Our Ugandan guests are really enjoying their time with us. They have all managed to stay well, but several people around the visit have had accidents and I am asking for more prayer cover for the visit please. As many of you already know, Meg had a fall after church on Sunday and has hurt her face (please don’t phone, or call on her, unless she has asked you to); I fell and sprained my ankle yesterday whilst out with our guests; and our daughter Charlotte sustained a deep cut to her finger whilst serving food to our guests.Thank God that none of our guests have had any health problems, but we really would appreciate extra prayer cover for them whilst they are here, for the people looking after them overnight, on visits, feeding them etc., and please pray for their families at home.Thank you,Sue Ward
